PROGRAMS

Crabapple Montessori School offers the following programs:

Primary: Academic program for children ages 3  to 6 years.  This is a 5-day a week program.  Children must be toilet trained to attend this program.

Toddler: Children 1 1/2 to around 3 years of age are enrolled in this program.  Children can be enrolled in 2-day, 3-day, or 5-day programs.

Summer Camp: This program is available during the months of June and July.  It is divided in 4, 2-week sessions.

Due to its multi-age structure and individualized instruction a child may be admitted to the school at any time during the year, depending on availability.

The hours of operation are 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

  • Primary students enrolled in half-day programs will not have lunch at the school.  However, the half-day toddlers will have lunch at the school

  • Those enrolled in extended-day programs and all-day students should either bring their own lunches to school or buy catered hot lunches at an additional charge.

  • For children bringing their own lunch, we strongly recommend that parents involve their children in helping them pack their nutritious lunches, which will enable them to take over this task by the time they reach Elementary School.

  • Every class has a morning snack available for the children. Parents will rotate providing this snack.

  • There are many "Practical Life" exercises involving food preparation, where the students learn to safely cut fruits and vegetables to eat, squeeze oranges and make orange juice, etc.

  • All-day students enrolled in the after school program must bring a nutritious afternoon snack from home.

Upon registration, parents receive a manual outlining school procedures and policies.
