What Crabapple Montessori School Parents Say

"Both our children have attended Crabapple Montessori School (CMS) — our older daughter attended CMS a couple of years ago, while our younger daughter will be starting her third year, Fall 2012.

It is a pleasure to see a four-year old wake up on school days and be excited about going to school! We are happy with their advancements in academics and social skills. The combination of the Montessori teaching philosophy, outstanding teachers and supportive parents makes CM an ideal place to nurture young minds.

We are proud to be part of the Crabapple Montessori family, and highly recommend this school."

– SANGEETA & VIJAY NORI

"Our daughter started Crabapple Montessori at the age of 2 ½, with Spanish as her first language. After only a few short months of being enrolled in the Toddler program, English became her primary language thanks to the dedication and support of her teacher.

Now a student in the Primary program, her vocabulary has increased dramatically. Her ability to do the lessons in class and complete her “work” in its entirety has amazed us. We could not imagine how our daughter would have progressed this past year without the help and support of the CMS family."

– SCOTT AND SHAWNA TYNDALE

"Montessori is such an excellent environment for a child’s development, and CMS is the best of Montessori. In the CMS community, teachers, staff, families, everyone values education and individual development very highly.

Some of the schools nearby are so focused on the children, but they do not offer scheduling options that working parents’ need. Some schools are over- focused on what the parents need or want to hear as “paying customers” that they may neglect the true best interest of the child. CMS manages to serve both the children and the parents’ needs very, very effectively.

The entire staff demonstrates levels of passion and professionalism that I rarely see in the education or the business world. They are all very kind, courteous, graceful, respectful, and very well-educated themselves. They work tirelessly to set ideal examples for the children of how people should behave and cooperate together. This is a very important detail that somehow, especially in non-Montessori environments, can unfortunately be overlooked.

The communication from the administration to the parents is outstanding. The facility is beautiful. On my commute I pass 6 other schools that are options for my children. I did my research and I chose Crabapple Montessori School."

– HEATHER QUEEN

"I started my son Camren at Crabapple Montessori at the age of 3. In the past 3 years he has gained so much confidence and the ability to build positive relationships with others.

Academically, it has been amazing to me how much he has achieved. He started reading and writing at the age of 4, in his second year of the primary program. He has learned about continents, countries, and different cultures. At age 5 his math skills have excelled and he is now working on multiplication, division, and the decimal system.

The most important aspect of all of this is that he loves to go to school. The Montessori system does not pressure students to learn the material or memorize it for the purpose of passing a test. My son is eager to learn and is extremely happy, and that’s what is important to me. He will be starting the Elementary program this year and my daughter will be in her second year of the Primary program."

– HASTI ZEINEDINI

"We love Crabapple Montessori School. When children’s education comes up in conversation we find ourselves raving about the quality and environment of CMS. The quality of the staff, classrooms, and facility all contribute to an excellent environment for our son to thrive in."

– TODD SORZANO

"I came looking for a very specific environment for my oldest son. I knew more than the average parent about Montessori from my oldest daughter’s experiences in other Montessori schools as well as from my sister who is a trained Montessori teacher. I visited several Montessori schools and top area day care programs. All the schools listened to me explain my son’s “special needs” and gave me a tour of the school and discussed what they could do to support him (he was 3.5 y/o at the time).

Crabapple Montessori went a step further; they set up a meeting with me and the potential teacher. My main goal was to find a teacher and a classroom that was calming and quiet with a certain routine he could depend on. He not only adjusted and adapted to his teachers, he began to flourish! The difference for me was that his teachers LOVED him. I think they loved him as much as I did. There is simply no substitute for someone who cares as much or more about your child.

He is more than prepared for Elementary school and I could not be happier with what this school & staff have done for my son."

– TRISHA CLEMENTS

"We have been thrilled with our son’s experiences at Crabapple Montessori. It has not only been a caring and peaceful environment for him, but he is progressing by leaps and bounds academically."

– CHERISE CAMPBELL

"We have been very pleased with our experience thus far at Crabapple Montessori School. We love the strong Montessori curriculum and believe our children have benefited immensely from the education they’ve received there. We love the staff and the personal relationships they have developed with our children and our family as a whole."

– GEORGE MOSS

"Since our first child has been enrolled in 2015, we have absolutely loved our experience with Crabapple Montessori School. We now have a total of three kids at Crabapple Montessori: one in Toddler, one in Primary, and one in Lower Elementary. At every level, Crabapple Montessori School has continued to impress us. The staff is fantastic with the children, committed to the Montessori Method, and devoted to helping kids reach their full potential through that method. The school is a safe, loving, and welcoming environment, and our kids truly enjoy going! We never cease to be amazed at the progress our children have made toward becoming independent and thoughtful global citizens!"

– KELLY GURIS

"The peace and organization in a classroom full of 20+ 3-6 year old kids at Crabapple Montessori was what stunned us the first time we walked through the doors.

Our 5 year old still keeps amazing us with the methodological approach she takes to every work she does. And neither my 5 year old or 3 year old has ever complained about not wanting to go to school. They thoroughly enjoy their time in school."

– JAYASHREE GUIN

"We love Crabapple Montessori! The classrooms provide a peaceful and calm working environment. Our children come home excited to share about their day’s work – the hands-on Montessori materials provide a true fundamental understanding of concepts and a fun way for them to learn. Montessori has created a love of learning for our sons. The amazing teachers (and truly the entire staff) take such a genuine interest in our children’s complete development, and foster such a warm caring environment. They take the time to really learn each personality and learning style and what makes them tick. They have been incredibly supportive, both emotionally and academically, to our children. We are very thankful to have found CMS 6 years ago and are thankful to be part of such a supportive community."

– RANDI SCHERWIN

"One of the best things about Crabapple Montessori School is its friendly staff, the way they all treat each other, kids and parents make us feel like a big happy family and we really are a big loving happy family. I believe this school established such a high standard that we hardly can get satisfaction with other schools.

My twin boys started attending Crabapple Montessori School on their second birthday, and for the past two years, I could see their improvement educationally and socially every day."

– BAHARAK KANI

"I spent a few weeks visiting Montessori schools in the area that I felt would be best for my daughter. Upon entering Crabapple Montessori, I immediately knew that I had found the right place for Sophia.

All of her teachers have shown so much genuine love, creativity, and enthusiasm. Because of that, Sophia has flourished in the Montessori classroom. I feel that she is far beyond the learnings of a typical three year old in her academic development, but I can see the impact that Montessori has had in her social skills and independence levels. You can imagine my surprise when my daughter properly introduced me to her friends at school. I have seen vast improvements her phonetics, writing, and the little things impress me, like finding continents on the globe.

Sophia is so happy at school and Crabapple Montessori is helping her build a solid foundation as a student and an even better person."

– COLEY CHILTON

"Our son joined Crabapple Montessori when he was 3 and we have been thrilled at our decision. He has grown to learn many aspects of independent living coupled with strong academic foundation, but more importantly, his love for learning has blossomed at school.

The Montessori way of education, personalized lessons and excellent teachers have been a perfect fit for him and his self-development. CMS thrives on a vibrant and committed parent, and teacher community that is highly engaged and ably supported by the administration staff with the common goal of making the education experience great for all our children. The open classrooms with large windows and the attention to detail and cleanliness is one of the key reasons we chose this school.

Our son graduated this summer and is going to continue in the Elementary program and our daughter begins her journey in the Primary class this fall."

– AANCHAL & NITIN LALWANI

"In preparation for moving to the area, we surveyed several local pre-school options for our young son. None of them were a total solution for us. We were feeling discouraged when my sister urged us to check out Crabapple Montessori. I had no concept of what Montessori was and my husband was getting tired of looking, but I begged him to check out just one more place. When we walked into the classroom for a tour, we were immediately impressed with how clean and open the space was. We saw all these intriguing learning materials that captivated even our attention – much less a child’s. And we saw a classroom in action with each child quietly engaged in purposeful activities. (I’ve never seen such calm pervade a classroom of young children!) We were completely sold.

It has been a perfect fit for our son. He enjoys the balance of learning and play. The focus on self-care has helped his independence. The focus on order and process makes him a contributor at home. And he has learned respect for others that has aided him socially. We’re very pleased with the quality of teachers, the administration, the open communication with parents, the opportunity for parent involvement, and even the assortment of extra-curricular offerings. For us, Crabapple Montessori School has been a total solution."

– MARY GAUS

"Crabapple Montessori School has been such a warm, loving, caring environment for our son. We have enjoyed experiencing the new things he learns each week – through both his words and his actions."

– JENNIFER ODIL

"Our oldest daughter has been attending Crabapple Montessori for 2 years. We could not be happier with our school. We are seeing great progress in her development and education. The staff is extremely helpful, attentive and genuine in their desire to educate and better our daughter. Rita’s teachers have been exceptional. We have full confidence in their technique and methodology.

The school environment is warm and welcoming. We feel safe bringing our daughter there. It truly feels like we are a part of a big family. We also like the diversity of offered extra curriculum classes. Maria and Wali Haider have done an outstanding job in developing the school program, providing a safe, comfortable environment and picking teachers and assistants.

We are very lucky to have found Crabapple Montessori and hope our youngest daughter will be attending as well."
