Shilpa is originally from India and moved to Atlanta 20 years ago and now resides in Roswell. She loves the city for its greenery, which brings a sense of nostalgia from her hometown. She has a daughter currently studying Neuroscience at Georgia State. Shilpa has a degree in Applied Commercial Arts, and has commissioned many fine art paintings and graphic design applications. However, her most fulfilling work is commissioning portraits for children, young adult, and pets. Shilpa joined Crabapple Montessori in 2022 and considers it enriching to be working with the children – specifically, the full spectrum of joy from capturing their personalities on canvas, to being able to fundamentally understand young minds as well as play a role in their growth. She notes that she learns as much from them, as they do from her every day. In her spare time she loves writing, poetry, book and movie reviews, and she takes a keen interest in interior design.
